10th Anniversary Brookline House Tour

"Shingles and Shade Trees - Historic Fisher Hill"
Come help celebrate our 10th Anniversary by touring eleven magnificent homes along Dean and Fisher Roads, as well as All Saints Parish.

The tour begins at 124 Dean Road. Along with homes and gardens—not to mention the history of one of Brookline’s finer neighborhoods—the October 5th tour includes complimentary refreshments and music. Part way through the tour, one home will host a parlor concert featuring the Chorus’ “Artists in Residence”— young professional singers working with the Chorus for the year. The concert will be held twice during the afternoon to accommodate more tour-goers. This year, we will also be featuring a talk at All Saints Parish by Richard Thomas Montross on “The Windows of All Saints.”

Purchase tickets on-line in advance for only $25 per person. Advance tickets are also available at Brookline Booksmith and Chobee Hoy Associates, On the day of the tour, you can purchase tickets for $30 at 124 Dean Road. All ticket-holders can enter the raffle for a beautiful architecture book from Booksmith.

About the Brookline House Tour

Brookline Chorus has sponsored an annual “Shingles and Shade Trees” house tour since 1999. Each tour focuses on a single neighborhood in the town of Brookline, showcasing its history and featuring 8-12 distinguished homes open to tour participants. Past tours have included the neighborhoods of Coolidge Corner, Corey Hill, Cottage Farm, Pill Hill, Chestnut Hill, Brookline Village, Longwood Mall and Green Hill.
